Behavioral Health & Children and Family Services Conferences

In consecutive years, IFWTC Executive Director Jim Pavlik had the honor of presenting at the Behavioral Health & Children and Family Services Conference in Bismarck, North Dakota — one of the Midwest’s leading gatherings for professionals in behavioral health, addiction recovery, and family services.

At the 2023 conference, Jim led a breakout session titled “Nicotine Dependence, Recovery, and Health Policy,” exploring how tobacco use intersects with behavioral health systems and policy frameworks.At the 2024 conference, he returned to deliver both a keynote address — “Nicotine’s Special Role in Polysubstance Use” — and a breakout session on “Co-Treatment of Tobacco Use Disorder with Other Comorbid Drug Use Disorders.”
